That's adorable, Gin. Wish I still had some of my old books from when I was a kid!

That's great...I love the personification of the plant. In many indiginous cultures every plant, creature, or even rocks and "dead" wood have spirit not unlike the human soul. Which is also why I believe plants that are talked to and openly given admiration and attention thrive better than those that don't, not unlike infants!

Gin- Bet that book might fetch a few dollars on the antiques roadshow (not to suggest you're "antique", if it was your book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Macaroni the Pony??? Well, I still have my copy of Grimms Fairy Tales and Robinson Crusoe (the full version - where he goes all the way around the world). I guess they (we) aren't antiques, but getting close to "collectables" LOL

I never had Macaroni the Pony. Green eggs and Ham has long since disappeared.

Wish I still had all my Tom Swifts though. Those were awesome.

Oh, Tom Swift was the coolest! He was a young scientist, always building these great gizmos that he'd have to use to outwit and catch the bad guys!
