Default Genus name

Hey guys,

I haven't been around here much lately. But the other day, I pollinated my brassia shooting star x dark star with some old oda. Margret Holm 'Alpine' pollen that I had in the basement for months. It looks like the cross took, so here is my question- what will the genra name be for brassia x odontioda?

Hi Orchidman,

The new genera you get when crossing brassia with odontioda is Sanderara.

If you have others which you need to figure out, try the Royal Horticultural Society's website. Also, if the cross or any components of it has previously been registered, then that same place will show you the new grex names.

Good luck with the babies...

Cheers
Tim
