Default Vanda coerulescens - pollination with seed pods

We pollinated coerulescens with it's self and with lamellata var. boxalli ‘Tom Ritter’ both stems took and seed pods have formed.

Well done Cathy. The coerulescens x lamellata cross should be very interesting.

I thought so, too on the cross. I have someone that will look after them if they continue to develop. She will harvest and flask.

Very cool, Cathy. When I grow up, I'm going to try hybridizing some of my slippers - that's probably quite awhile from now, but I'm enjoying it vicariously through you!

Great idea Cathy. By the way since your going to be the mom to these seedlings remember your flasking friend can only do so much as midwife/nurse. Don't forget to practice your deep breathing and exercises. AL

Oh gosh, Bill, I don't need another one. I'm too old to wait for them to bloom.
