Ho Soltrad,

Welcome to the forum. Wonderful to see someone yet again from another part of our world, and one which is quite exotic.

I don't think I've come across any orchids from the Solomon Islands or ones that I know of anyway, so it would be something of an education for me to find out what kind of orchids grow in your Islands.

I do know that Cribb, PJ (of Royal Horticultural Society, Kew fame) has written a book about the Orchids in the Solomon Islands... will have to check if our society library has it.

Would love to see pics and get some info on what you grow over there.

Cheers
tim

Welcome Soltrad! Many people here are interested in learning about new orchids, and trying to grow them. Please do post some of the orchids you have, along with growing information.

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .
