    Default keikis help.

NOT to sond braggy but i have worked alot of miracles in a "mass production" environment. I have even revived many orchids that would otherwise been thrown away by the ones who only grow as a job and not as a passion. I take alot of heat from my boss about how its not my job to save the plants I place in my "hospital". Anyways, I have decided to take on another task. I want to create more orchids. Yet the developing of new orchids has not been a success. I cant get the keikis to grow. I only have access to a bark/spagnum etc... soil that can cause restrictions but as long as I leave some roots exposed has yet to cause a problem. Fertilizer is included in this blend. I water once a day until saturated since we are not experiencing winter weather and rotate the soil once a week adding pinches of manure. This has worked the miracles on seedling and 3rd-5th generation orchids yet nothing on the keikis. Any advise and please do not hold back.

are you allowing for enough of roots on the keiki before separating it from the mother plant?

As far as I know yes. I even try to leave silver arial roots attached when possible. They start to grow within a week but then by week 2 they turn gray and shrivel.
