While at the greenhouse today I noticed that my Hawaiian Beau had gone from pink flowers with a red lip to sunset colors since the flower matured.



I thought it would be nice to have an even smaller plant with sunset colors so I pulled down my Sophronitis cernua and crossed it onto the Hawaiian Beau. It may be a nice cross. Hoping for a 3 - 4" plant with 2-2.5" flowers in sunset tones.

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .
