    Default Pruning seal advice please

The repotting article calls for the use of "Pruning seal" and I do not have any experience with that. Can someone offer some advice about brand names that work well with Cattleya.

Try the spice cinnamon. Sprinkle the powder on the cut edge of leaves or psuedo bulbs. Try not to get it on the roots as cinnamon can dry the roots out.

We use regular pruning seal like you would get for rose bushes or trees. It looks like a can of spray paint. You can get it at all big box stores.

I was given this secret from an old timer. And have been using it for two years with no problems. Elmer's carpenter's wood glue. After I make my cut, put it on with a cue tip and it makes a perfect seal.

I've also heard of combining the two, making a paste of elmers and cinnamon. I've done it and not had a problem since I couldn't find any sealer at the store. I've also used just plain cinnamon. I think I have better results with the paste. I have not just tried elmers alone but probably will in the future. Less messy and would look nicer.
