There are some of us that have these in their collection and this thread will be for posting of these. I will start off with Bl Richard Mueller 'Orchidheights' HCC/AOS. Bl Richard Mueller is a primary cross of B nodosa x L milleri.
There have been many crosses made with Bl Richard Mueller as one parent. My favorite, in my collection is it crossed with Lc Bonanza Queen. One of the features of many of Richard Mueller progeny is that the flower's color change as the flower ages.
Bonanza Queen --> I LOVE IT
That cross with Bonanza Queen is really lovely. You don't happen to have a division of that hanging around somewhere - do you?
Pretty !! Way to Suck up Diane, wish I had thought of it first.
Darn it Ron....just when I was getting over the urge to go shopping for Maxillarias and RM crosses. QUIT that! ;-)
Seriously LOVELY blooms!
Ron, you are a constant source of amazement! While I haven't been on this forum very long, I have yet to see a presentation of yours that is less than 110% These are just beautiful. Thank you for your contributions....well done
No wonder the Bonanza cross is your favorite. Wow, what a color change. I think I like it best in the first picture. The bold lip is such a beautiful contrast to the understated pink of the petals and sepals. Gorgeous.
I was hoping that others would add pics of there RM crosses to this post. I have many others that I could ad for I quite a few of them but was hoping others would contribute to this one.
Diane, I lusted over this one for years. It was in a collection of a forum acquaintance in San Diego. There was 2 of us on that forum who wanted a division. The whole plant came to me with 5 p-bulbs I cut the rhizome to start a second lead and gave the front lead to the other forum member. I think I only have 4 -bulbs at this point and hope to eventually get this one awarded. Ir has very good form and is stunning! I will need to promise you a future division but if I get it awarded, I may have it mericloned. I believe I put the pics in the wrong order. The second pic is the color it opens and it fades to the first pic.
I guess I will add the next one...please, other members help me here. I checked my inventory list, I have 16 different crosses with Bl Richard Mueller as one parent.
This is Bl Yellow Bird It is Bl Richard Mueller crossed back to B. nodosa. The flowers bloom this color and fad to yellow tepals It is night fragrant like it's nodosa parent but that isn't surprising for it is 3/4 nodosa.
