Okay, I just re-read my post and realize I sound like I'm illiterate. But is that really a reason not to answer my question?

I have tried a C. forbesii compot here a couple of years ago. They all died despite my other cattleyas thriving.
I guess this is one of the odd cattleyas that prefer to stay in cooler climates.

The one that I was looking at is a cross with an Lc Mary Ellen Carter 'Dixie Hummingbiird' and has a warm gold color with a purple lip....any suggestions for a heat-loving Cattleya that is a warm gold?

I have an Lc Tokyo Magic that is a very pretty yellow gold flower with a small splash of violet on the bottom fringe of the lip. Mine won't bloom for me, but then I tortured it and stuck it on a stick. It grows just fine, I'm just not excelling at the "getting my orchids to bloom" thing right now.

Hi. Here in Brazil we find these plants growing in full sun on the sand near the beach. They recieve the mist and the wind from the ocean too. They grow best for us here on warmer enviroment. They like a freely drainage compost to let the roots to dry fast. I grow mine on small plastic pots and small granite rock pieces. Tose used in construction.
    I hope a could help.
