Default One of Katie's orchids in bloom

Katie gave me this Blc. Yen Corona 'Green Genii' last year.

It is a relatively compact catt and produces vividly colored flowers towards winter.
Something happened to this plant last summer where almost all mature pseudobulbs just yellowed up and died.
So there are only a couple of healthy new growths and a couple of leafless pseudobulbs on the plant and the flowers are understandably a little distressed compared to that they should look like.
It also bloomed way ahead of schedule. Last time this plant produced flower buds late in November and the flowers fully opened before Christmas.

Check out Katie's previous blooms when it was in her care:

Once I nurse this plant back to health the vivid colors should make a wonderful display

Wow! What a nice contrast the green sepals make.

Such a great color combination--lime green and magenta. If someone wore it you would call the fashion police, but in nature it just seems . . . well natural. It really is lovely!

Very nice, reminds me of another mid-sized catt, the name escapes me at the moment.

Yes it is an interesting color combo.
Believe me I was surprised the first time it bloomed in my care too. Since the sepals were all I could see when the bud was closed, it was all green so I thought the flowers would look more like a Siam Jade.
But when the petals and lip showed up, it was like "Tada! I'm heeere!"
