You mean you actually LIKE that?!!! I find that hard to believe, Ron. I think you should mail it to me so I give it a more thorough evaluation

Connie the orchid police got at me last week Actually my tag reads Diacattleya but I still wrote Caulocattlea when I posted the thread.

It stems back to the first name from 1836 ....This is what happened:

~Diacrium amazonicum Schlechter 1925 - See Caularthron bicornutum [Hkr] Raf.1836

    ~Diacrium bicornutum [Hkr.]Benth. 1881 - See Caularthron bicornutum [Hkr] Raf. 1836

~Diacrium bicornutum var. indivisum (Bradford) Cogn 1910 - See Caularthron indivisum (Bradford ex Griseb.) Garay & Dunst. 1979

~Diacrium bidentatum (Lindl.) Hemsl. 1884 - See Prosthechea boothiana [Lindl.] Higgins 1997

    ~Diacrium bigibberosum (Rchb. f.) Hemsl. 1883 - See Caularthron bilamellatum (Rchb. f.) R.E. Schult. 1958

    ~Diacrium bilamellatum (Rchb. f.) Hemsl. 1883 - See Caularthron bilamellatum (Rchb. f.) R.E. Schult. 1958

~Diacrium bilamellatum var reichenbachianum Schlechter 1922 - See Caularthron bilamellatum (Rchb. f.) R.E. Schult. 1958

    ~Diacrium bivalvatulum Schltr. 1923 - See Caularthron bilamellatum (Rchb. f.) R.E. Schult. 1958

~Diacrium indivisum Broadway 1895 - See Caularthron indivisum (Bradford ex Griseb.) Garay & Dunst. 1979

Thats a nice deep purple color on your flowers Ron. But I prefer the candy-pale purple on my flowers . Now only if I can get it to produce more than 2 flowers per pseudobulb I would be really happy with it.

That is something that we have to get used to in the orchid world. In this world, the train can take a sharp 90-degree turn while running at 80mph.

Its still not too bad. I think in the astronomy world they killed Pluto with less than 1000 votes

the planet has been downgraded fromplanet status. Now it's considered a captured comet or some such.
