I am looking for a vendor. None of the nurseries i have used have it.
Jeff, both are fantastic!!! I have to have them... (I think I should go to the show on Sunday?!?!?!)
Do you have the yellow bird planted in plastic or clay?
And here is my Snow Ballet from last year's bloom. You can see the color change, opening with pink and fading to white.
Like the rocks in pea gravel? How often do you water? I have had one for 2 years now has never bloomed. Don't know what i am doing wrong?
Yes, like pea gravel, but it only counts about 1/4 of the media. I leave orchids outside on the shelf, so I like to add some weight to the pot if it doesn't get blown away or knocked down by the wind. I water it every 3-5 days during non-winter months, every 2 weeks during winter. And Houston is generally very humid.
Yellow Bird has 3/4 B nodosa, it likes lots of sun. How much sun does yours get? Have you tried to move it to a sunnier spot?
I have it in my south windowsill. I believe maybe i am not watering it enough or it needs more humidty. Colorado is pretty low humdty. Thanks for your information.
