    I am hunting this one but unfortunately cannot bloom in lowland so I just ignore it. Very beautiful Roy and the mature plant exactly like thysiflorum.

    Yes, too much heat is a problem. I've had similar plants in a lot more warmth than this plant that will flowr all year round but the flowers last only a few days.
    BTW, the plant isn't exactly like thyrsiflorum. If you look at the cane in front between the spikes you will notice it looks square or has flat sides. In these plants this feature can only come from D. densiflorum or farmeri D. thyrsiflorum canes are round. This is one way to tell if your thyrsiflorum is genuine. Flower size is another.
