Smile Blc. Port Royal Sound 'Big Red'

    Hi all!

Just thought I'd post a picture of this pretty girl that opened today Its grown in S&H on my southfacing windowsill, but technically it hasn't really been in the sun that much. I repotted it into S&H on 10/13/08 and it's been in a low light area since then...it actually had buds in the sheaths when I repotted it, but for some reason this didn't stop me, LOL. It's opened now and is very lovely, and has a typical catt scent, but its actually a bit more spicy, like cinnamon!

    Thanks for looking!
    ~Becky

Hey Ron, I know you're upstate and here in Michigan and Chicago, I wouldn't exactly call our weather "fall".....maybe "falling snow"!!!!! With gray skies and leafless trees and snow on the ground, we aren't in "fall' anymore, Toto!!!!! This beautiful flower goes a long way to brighten up anyone's day!

Hey all, I just realized something!! They must've named this cross 'Big Red' because it smells EXACTLY like Big Red gum!!! You know the kind!!

Wow, took me a little while to put two and two together this morning...

Very nice floof. The cinnamon smell must be a great added bonus. Love those saturated colors!
