Default Den. Somsak White & Den. Holly Wood

The Den. Holly Wood will be a present for a friend for Thanksgiving. The lower petals have white streaks through them that aren't showing well in the pic's.

The Den. Somsak White is joining my collection. (The white flower in the rear of the picture has the closest coloring for this one.) The p-bulbs are only 6 inches tall and very plump. I don't think I've ever seen a den with such short fat p-bulbs.

Dendrobiums are such tough plants, they are quickly becoming one of my favorite orchid types.

I see Santa's butt too! *GRIN*

It's time to start decorating here too. On Friday I plan on Christmasing the house up a bit.

Your hard cane dends are lovely and they really are "bullet-proof" in Florida!

Too funny! I didn't even notice santa had gotten his back door in the picture. lol Yes I have begun early, but so far I've just done about 1/2 of the decorating I usually do. That particular santa does a "drunk act and burps". It's a fun one....I get my special stuff like that the day after the holiday. Then the next year I get an early Christmas when I open my boxes and find last years sales that I'd forgotten about. (my husband goes around for days looking through all the local stores' 75% off stuff and brings me bags and bags home). It makes decorating so much more like fun and alot less like work. The "extras" go to any children that happen to visit my house.

p.s. Thanks for the lovely comments....and yeah it's pretty hard to kill a den down here unless you do serious overwatering. I've even seen them in baskets down here growing like weeds. (not mine of course lol)
