    Default coilostylis ciliaris

This is coilostylis ciliaris. Gin gave this plant to me back in September of this year and it finally is coming into bloom. I am so happy with the shape and color combo of the bloom. Thanks Gin!

I have one of these in bloom right now, too. I'm not sure mine is happy because the leaves are distressingly pale. Bruce, do you fertilize it much?

    Cheers,

    Rob

No much. We have been a bit lax with the fertilizer here lately. We usually fertilize every other week in the cooler months, but lately we have not had the extra time. The GH has not been watered for two weeks. Tomorrow, Louis is going to spend some time in there and get things wet and fed again. It has been a busy semester at work for me.

If the leaves are pale, it may be getting more sun that the one we have. I have not removed the shade cloth from the GH this winter yet, so my orchids plants are all looking a bit darker than they probably would normally. I would not worry to much about it if the plant is growing well for you. Good light will bring blooms.

    Cheers,
    BD
