Beautiful Connie I love the spots. Since you have it inside, I'm assuming that it's fairly easy to grow, is that right?

So far the brassavola types have not minded the indoors as long as it is next to a window. I open the window a small bit to allow for fluctuation of temp's close to that window, it gives them a good air movement 24-7 and a little direct sunlight in the morning. It's tough not overwatering them indoors...they take longer to re-adapt to sunlight than I thought they would too. I can waltz my phals in and out with little regard for temps being close, but these catts aren't like that. Once they have been indoors they are much more sensitive to cool evenings and damage way easier from sun and cold at first. I am definitely a newbie with these ones...so others feel free to chime in and completely tell me I'm completely wrong if you feel I am. lol I grow on my front porch, which is east facing. Plants in bloom often come into the living room until I need to make room for something else....something newer. lol Then they go outside to see if they can live on the porch or if they prefer to be eaten by bugs or rot. I water with rain water and use a variety of fertilizers to make sure they get what they need. I even use a few drops of a violet fertilizer which some of the phals really seem to like. Because of the humidity here, I am now potting 90% of my cattleya types in wooden baskets with the minimum of cocoa fiber. I am working on my overwatering ways, the new moisture meter should help (I hope).
Again, this is a new plant so please don't judge it's wonderful appearance on my efforts. It was in a wonderful nursery and was a late present this year. Anyone willing to share their care hints for these ones I would be ever so greatful.

I have been told these should be a weed instead of an orchid as they grow easily. Ask me again in about two months if I still think they are easy! lol I have recently acquired about 4 of the brassavola types. I understand they should be easy to grow as long as I don't overwater them.
As to the spots; I have a couple pics that I love. They show the spots going up the throat on the outside and it's so pretty. I find the shape of the throat to be one of the prettiest I've seen so far. I actually had hoped to find a nice mueller cross for awhile, I was thrilled to receive this one. I'll attach another picture of the spots.
Thanks all for the nice comments...i'm fortunate to have you all to share my new obsession with.

Okay....update and tons of questions time! lol I had to pry this off the shelf today, the roots are growing through the bottom of it's basket. I had repotted it into a wooden basket with cocoa fiber and it's growing like a weed! I can't count all the new growths. But, so far I see no sign of it trying to give me any spikes with buds. The new growths look healthy...but someone said they resent being repotted. Is there any other reason other than sun, that it might be taking it's time flowering again? How many times a year would this one bloom? Once? Twice?
Thanks to e1 for all the comments...i'll post a picture soon. You'll think I'm feeding it steroids with all the new p-bulbs! And I even gave a piece to a good friend...
