The blooms are beautiful! How will your get rid of the mealy bugs? What do you use when you have open blooms?

    Cheers,

I love this plant. I finally found the exact clone 'Orange Belle' that everyone raves about. Yours is very nice and I hope mine blooms soon!

I see the mealy bugs on one of the flower bases. You can take straight Neem oil and a Q-tip and remove them. (Doesn't look too bad!)

    Good growing and cheers,

    Clint

BD, all I did with this one is pick it off with my fingers. I generally use a fine artists paint brush dipped in Methylated Spirits and brush the mealies off. It doesn't hurt the plant, spike or blooms. I never spray with Metho as it can chill/burn flowers. Its safe and effective.

Thanks. I wondered how to do that with blooms on the plant. I try to 'spot spray' when this happens and always end up spotting my blooms. I with try a brush and apply directly to the bugs. Thanks for the tip!
