Very pretty blooms, Bruce. I have this one too but it hasn't bloomed for me yet. She had a bout with scale that is now cleared up but the pbulbs are still weak. What's your secret to blooming this one?

No secret, Tami. We literally thought this one was a goner. Its roots rotted away and we were left with a basically bare plant. I put it in a pot and stuck it in lower light (right along side my phals) and it put out new growth & roots. And now it bloomed. I am really amazed. I usually throw them out when they get like this one was, but it was the only plant I had of this variety so I gave it another shot. I *think* the reason it rotted is that it was potted in too large of a pot and never fully dried out. I did not notice it until it fell over out of its pot. Poor, sad little thing. LOL

    Cheers,
    BD

    Hi Bruce,

Is it always in a lower light setting year round? or only while it was recovering?
My Sogo is placed in high light along with the standard catts and it is not blooming well. I wonder if I should move it to lower light.
It seems to go against my instincts with catts though. But there are always exceptions.

It was normally in higher light, but it got root rot. After I noticed it, I moved it to a smaller pot and put it next to my phals. It has been there 8 months or longer. I really did not expect it to come back.

    Cheers,
    BD
