This huge catt is in bloom now and making the greenhouse smell soooo wonderful! I am amazed at the fragrance this plant is putting out. I hope you enjoy the snapshot!
Floofy Cats not really my thing but if it,s fragrant i,d certainly make
a place for it.
That's really pretty! I don't see what's wrong with floofy catts...
I had been trying to buy a catt with exactly that colour combination. Because I can't afford to buy a catt in bloom, I have to buy back bulb or seedlings, and rely on the vendor's honesty when I ask about the colour of the flower. So far, I have not been lucky, the closest I got so far is a green with magenta lip, named Miss Afton (or is itSweet?)or something. I wrote down the name of this one on my list.
BD, can you recommend a catt with the same colour combination but with a scent that is more gentle to my sensitive nose? Or better still one with no fragrance at all. Thanks.
Why Bruce, you secret floofer you! No seriously, I am reminded of Laelia purpurata (or Sophronitis??? purpurata as we are now supposed to say!) AND it is aromatic as well. So this is about as good as it gets on the planet Cattleya! Mmmm- mmmmm!
my next collection is this white and pink combination color...thank you for sharing Bruce
That is gorgeous! You have the nicest floofies!
Beautiful! It's hard to beat a big, fragrant semi-alba catt.. Awsome.
Wow, that's nice, what size pot is that in?
Bruce, I love the delicate white around the deep pink/purple petal. Absolutely beautiful.
