    I have a blossoming Cattleya aurantiaca!!

    It was purchased last September at the Wisconsin Orchid Society show and it sheathed after it reached home and is flowering. My only Cat and obviously my first one my windowsill to flower. It isn't fully open yet, but the color looks great from what I can see.

    Congrats! They are cute little blooms!

    I have one 'Lemon Drop', but I don't see any sheath on it. Maybe next year!

    Thats an excellent choice for a first catt Joe.
    give it a few years and you could have inflorescences that can hold as much as 20 flowers.

    And given that it is a species catt, the requirements and performance will generally be less ambiguous than hybrid catts.
