    Default Sophrocattleya Tiny Titan

    Hi all,

This is my Sophrocattleya Tiny Titan. You may notice it says Pot. Tiny Titan on the vendor's tag, but that's an error, because there is no Brassavola background in this cross. I need to change the tag, obviously! At one time, one of the ancestors was classified as a Laelia, so you might also see this called Slc. However, according to OrchidWiz, Sc. Tiny Titan is the correct name. The name is somewhat contradictory, of course, with one indicating something small and the other something large, but it does have nice alliteration.

Unfortunately, the flash on the camera washed the orange out just a bit. It's a little more bright and intense in real life. But that's my photography, alas. LOL

    Cheers,
    Rob

Very pretty -- I love the simple shape of the flowers! Cheery color, too...

Very cute, Rob! I haven't seen any of these offered at any shows, sad to say. Even online they aren't terribly common. This cross is highly variable, IME. So even when offered online, I'm reluctant to get one as I would rather see the actual flowering plant in person to make sure it is the one I want.
