I think all of these plants are the same thing...the spelling seems to be inconsistant when I look it up from site to site.

This is a discussion on Yam Queen Adelia 'Kulani' within the Cattleyas, Vandas, Dendrobiums IN BLOOM forums, part of the Orchid Photography category; I tried to look this one up and I got absolutely nothing! I'm thinking this ...
I tried to look this one up and I got absolutely nothing! I'm thinking this is a first for me....at least in awhile! Could you all maybe help me out with this? First, what does Yam stand for? I have a guess, but I'm not sure. And I think it's raised like an encyclia. I am going to need to repot it as it's only in a 2 or 3 inch pot! The pot you see in the 3rd picture, is a larger clay pot to keep it upright. The guy at the nursery found me a really nice plant. The one I found was a single spiker, and this one has four spikes. One spike has only one bud and is difficult to see.
Hope someone can help me out with this one...
Yamadara...ahhhhh I thought it was Yamagara....no wonder I couldn't find it! lol Thanks! The guy from the nursery said it is a Tampense cross, so I figured I'd try to treat it like and Encyclia.
It has a slight fragrance. I'll have to keep checking to see if it's stronger at night or in the mornings.
Very Pretty !!!
