Ron,as you know I'm a novice grower.I have no clue on these names ! lol At least the local grower, where I purchased this plant was good enough to give me the current correct name.smwboxer; To answer about blooming times.I'm in Florida,Hot and Humid.I have two more new growths that will most likely will bloom in early fall.I'm sure everything depends on the conditions that your plant is growing under. So for my conditions 2x a year. Amey,as long as your cross has C.Choccolate Drop in the mix,it should produce a deep red waxy looking bloom, from what I have seen. You could do a internet search on Chocolate drop orchids and find many that look very much the same. Thanks again, for all the kind words.Have Fun,Rich

This is fantastic!!!! Well done Rich!

As for the names, I wish they'd all lump them in one Genus, ie Cattleya so that there's no more of these intergeriatric names!!! And if they can just divide it within the Genus to have sections within like in Paphs but keep the one Genus.

Now how is that a Gsl? It used to be a Lc but is now Cattlianthe. Maybe it was a Gsl until the laelia was moved to Cattleya
