Thank you all for your great comments... I'm so excited!...
Dear clintdawley & Elitebettas... Special thanks for finding this plant's name... I really appreciate... ... Going to give it a search to find out which one!...
Ah one of the flowers are shriveling... It happens every time I bring an orchid home but home-spiked orchids always last longer since they've adapted to the lower moisture environment...

P.s: Today I picked up another phal... Its a white one with HUGE flowers... I pollinated it right in the nursery with pollinia from purple/red lip, purple/pink lip and white/red lip plants... This time I'm really going to make it to the media!... I'm working in a plant protection lab/clinic so I have access to all kinds of sterilizing/medium stuff... I really want to try selfing this Catt but I'm scared... waiting 12 months is like forever!...
Wish me luck!... Thanks again for looking...

Hey, that's all great!!! Sooooooo exciting! And about selfing the catt- go for it! One year is not that bad once you start the project. It will go fast while you are busy with something else. However, it is longer if you don't start- you will always have a year left...LOL Good luck!!!

I think you are right margo... I'm going to do it with the youngest flower... Yeah that makes sense!... You always have a year left if you never start!... But how can I understand if its ready?... You see... Phals pods start to change after 3-4 months... but looking at a Catt pod in 12 months... I think I should do a monthly photography and do it weekly when its getting close to see how the pod changes...

I have several pods forming now and I am going to use coffee filters on them. I read a thread here and I was looking for it to give you a link, but I can't find it now...

Catches the micro-mini seeds when the pod blows.

When the pod grows if you put a coffee filter around it you won't loose the seeds if the pod opens. Sorry I can't find the thread now (I was just looking again), but if I see it I'll post it or PM you.
