    Smile My Second Cattleya!... NOID...

Hi... This is the newest addition to my orchid collection... I don't know the name so please help me ID it... The small flowers look like watercolor paintings and I really like how the purple and yellow blend... I hope you enjoy it too... Unfortunately the fragrance is only released in the morning but the daffodil/lilac like scent is heavenly!... Sorry if the picture has a low quality. Its taken with my mom's CyberShot phone... Because of its unreliable color balance, the purple appears slightly reddish even after my extensive hue shift in Photoshop...
This is my second catt... The first was the "Potinara Burana Beauty 'Burana'" which is growing well and has formed a tri-foliate unit and its easily seen in the last image... It has also formed a sheath with something swelling in it... I hope it'll produce 5+ flowers... I love its fragrance...

That's really beautiful Mohi. Like the watercolour effect as you said and looks a bit like Irises. And the fragrance is a bonus although it's released only in the morning. Sorry can't help with the id.
Seems that you're taking good care of your Catts, and the photos are not bad at all. Congratulations!

Wonderful colors - yes, like a watercolor painting. I love the warm glow from the center of the blooms. Really nice.

    Cheers,

    Smile Pro photos added!...

At last!... My brother brought the camera back so I could get some nice and pro photos of my newest plant... This picture is taken with the same method I explained in the general photography discussion section... Done with a 13 second exposure and a flashlight!... Lifted the brightness with Photoshop and everything else is unchanged... Hope you all like it!...
