    Au contraire, Lucan!

It's wonderful for three reasons - 1) it's a very pretty flower, 2) it knows who it is (a dend with a name, which is unusual enough), and 3) it's blooming for you!

    Congrats!

I have always loved the emma whites, but do not have one yet. I like orchids either all white or completely flambouyant lol. Nothing in between (tell you a bit about my personality-- you think?)

I think it is a fantastic den, and you did a great job growing it.

Give your Emma time. I have one that I've been growing for about 12 years now. It's gotten quite large--moves outside from late spring to late fall and blooms 2-3 times a year. Some of the canes that bloomed this summer sent up more spikes this winter. The bigger canes had 6-7 spikes each so it was quite a show that lasted several months.

    Default Emma White

I bought my Den. Emma White at an orchid show in 2005 for $10 & today she finally bloomed!!!!! I see these dens in bloom all the time & have been tempted to buy one since I've never had a bloom... LOL
Even while catagorizing my orchids, I didn't know which den was Emma White, there was no marker..... must've been lost in the moving......
Now I know who she is & she has 2 spikes!!! Hallelujah!!!!!! Only took 2+ years
