Default Big red and 'little' blue vanda orchids

A few more from my vanda collection. Big red is truly a monster vanda. "Okaara (Ascocentrum x Renanthera x Rhyncostylis x
Vanda)" Scarlet Queen 'Chile Pepper' (Renst. Queen Emma x Ascda. Yip Sum Wah) AM/AOS is a huge orchid that has driven me to get hubby to expand the orchid house (coming this winter). She is almost a four foot plant roots not included! 'Little' blue, Vanda Sansai Blue 'Acker's Pride' has gorgeous huge blooms as big as my hand. The color is pretty accurate.

I can't believe that Blue one is as big as your HAND! Wow. Man, I remember when I walked into a big box store a few years back and they had Vandas for sale with these looooooong roots hanging down from these little wooden baskets. I should've purchased one, but I thought it looked...un-tidy. Is it true these require LOTS of light?

    Fantastic blooms, way to go!!

PS. Bruce, your choice of emoticons always cracks me up. lol
