Default Lc Coastal Reality or not

When it first opens, I thought to myself "oh, I like it, but...", 2 days later I went out to smell it, LOVE the strong and nice fragrance. The actual color is more lavender than pink.

I haven't found a lot information on this cross, no image from googling. Please let me know if you know more about this cross.
Hi... I'm not sure that your plant is labeled correctly... as the cross of Lc. Coastal Reality is {Laelia anceps x Cattleya Elizabeth Off}. (see attached Photo). Lc. Coastal Reality was made in 1994... registered by Stewart Orchids... and C. Elizabeth Off was made in 1947 by Off & Sons.

If you could tell me what the stem lengths are on your plant... or better yet... post a picture of it's current state of growth... we might be able to narrow down the choices.

I have just finished the production of a presentation for my Judging Center on the use of Laelia anceps in hybridizing... and I am somewhat familiar with how L. anceps performs when used as a parent in hybridization.
I would be happy to help you with searching for the correct name for your plant.

Your plant is certainly a keeper... both from the color and the fragrance aspects.

Thank you for the info. I will take some pictures of the plant and spikes later this afternnon. The spikes are really tall (~1ft) comparing to my other catt hybrids.

I would love to read your presentation about L. anceps...

    Ron,
Yes, I will save you a division when I divide it. It would be nice to have the correct name...

    Scotty,
Could it be Lc Sylvan Sprite 'Blythe Spririt' HCC/AOS? The flower and plant look very similar if not identical. Since it's a cross between Lc Puppy Love and L rubescens, the dark throat must come from rubscens.

Here is a picture of the whole plant. As you can see the stem is long. All 4 spikes carry 4 buds each.

Lizgeo... I think you have the correct name now...Lc Sylvan Sprite 'Blythe Spirit' HCC-75pts. I have the same clone in bloom also... and the flowers appear the same as your first post. I glad that we could sort it out... happy growing.
    Regards... Scotty.
