    Hi folks, these are in flower now, thought I would share.

    #1 Aerides maculosum.......spike is 680mm long plus one branch.

    Love the aerides maculosa, Roy! It is amazing. And of course, I love the color of the Ascda YSW!

    Lovely flowere Roy ! What season is it in Australia? A. maculosum flowers in June to July in native India during the monsoon after the hot dry summer months. Also I remember us discussing about the different nature of spikes back in India and in Aus. The Ascd is magnificent, so much orange.

    Halloamey, its early Summer here and the Aerides is flowering at the same time it has for the last 2 years. Comparing the two flowers, rosea & maculosum, they are as close to identical as anything except the maculosum is about 3 or 4 times the size, as is the spike and plant.

    BD, thanks. The Ascda color is a little dark than the flower actually is, its a little more on the orange side.
