    Well done.

Beautiful bloom, you should post a close-up picture.
    The color looks amazing.
(do you grow it in sphag and clay pot? Is there a reason why your clay pot is in another pot?)

Yes, it's growing in straight sphag. The black plastic pot you see was used to prop the plant for picture taking. Normally, I keep the pot sitting in a small, glass mason jar which keeps it moist and humid around the roots. The color is quite beautiful, very 'coral' like. There are 3 more growths with buds coming out! I grow this on a south windowsill that gets quite cold most of the year. I keep an eye on it in the summer and often move it to an eastern window in my bathroom with a window which is kept open all summer.

I like the color and, yes, it is tiny--the whole plant looks smaller than the C. trianae bloom!

    Cheers,
    Rob

how do you keep the pot in the mason jar? do you keep the sphagnum moist all the time? i thought Cattleyas had to dry out between waterings. anyway looks quite nice!

Thanks everyone. It's in a tiny clay pot that sits perfectly in a very small mason jar..the kind you buy to make homemade jam, etc. Since it's in such a tiny pot, I keep the sphag rather moist, allowing it to dry out slightly between waterings.
