thank you, Zain. You know, my neighbor had one like this and because we did not know exactly what it was, every time it was in bloom, we would all make derogatory jokes because the flowers were quite small. Now it is one of my most treasured orchids. Unfortunately the plant deteriorated after about two years. I have transferred it to a shadier spot and I hope it becomes as healthy as it was before.

Check your plant maybe something there I always noticed weevil is one of the culprit love to make a hole and lay an eggs ultimately the stem turn brown and worsening.

The signs are similar Zain. The roots dried up and of course the plant began to look dehydrated. I didn't act quickly because I thought it would just bounce back. But when only two small leaves remained, I transferred it to a very shady spot where it remained for almost a year. However, it did not seem to improve nor deteriorate. It just "sat" there. When my aunt saw it, she transferred it to partial shade and she said that vandas need more sunlight. It's been there for two weeks now. No remarkable signs of improvement yet. Still the same.

Thank you, Michelle. But I guess I better find a new one because mine has deteriorated so much this past year. I think I may lose it.

Thanks. I don't know where to get a new one though. Mine was given to me by a neighbor who didn't appreciate the miniature flowers. He has since moved away. Oh well. I hope I get lucky but Philippine species vandas (except the E. sanderiana) are hard to come by even at huge trade fares.
