Cattleya skinneri

This is a discussion on Cattleya skinneri within the Cattleyas, Vandas, Dendrobiums IN BLOOM forums, part of the Orchid Photography category; The lip is quite strange but I still think it is skinneri....

    The lip is quite strange but I still think it is skinneri.

    Shape does not seem right to me. Maybe cattleya skinneri x laelia anceps? Very pretty. Love the color and lip.

    Hi smwboxer, though the shape of the lip is a bit strange, the throat make me sure it is still a skinneri.

    Very beautiful, I think it is G. guatamalensis variant (G. skinneri X aurantiaca) I have seen so many forms, I will not be surprised if this one is a new form.

    Thanks Amey! I also won't be surprised if it's G. guatamalensis. The shape of its lip is really like G. aurantiaca.

    It is beautiful. I think it might be a cross with skinneri.

    I have to agree, it is a hybrid....I can't help you ID because I am a slipper person. I have to learn my cattleyas!
