Default A Dark Red Semi-strap Vanda

Vandas in this color range, the dark reds or any of the darker shades for that matter, are my favorites. This one is a good bloomer, averaging 4 bloom cycles a year. Flowers are about 8 centimeters across.

I suspect this to be a Fuchs Delight but I'm not really sure.

Thanks Janet. The dark colored vandas are always head turners. Perhaps you could grow some of the smaller members of the tribe in a greenhouse.

Just an observation, you have pictures of two different Vandas there. Which one are you not sure about ?

A real head-turner! Could be Fuch's Delight , but Fuch's Delight is a strap leaf and not semi-strap.

    Thank you all!

By the way Roy, this is just one vanda. The bottom photo was taken under direct late afternoon sun while the other three photos were taken in shade at an earlier time of day.

Well, Yew, then perhaps this isn't Fuchs Delight because I hardly have any strap vandas since they don't grow well under full sun. Anyway, thank you for that piece of information.
