Default The Difference More Sunlight Makes

Here is a NOID vanda. It is quite fragrant during the day.

The top photo was taken the day I bought the plant. My source planted it under double shade cloth.

The second photo was taken 3 months later, during its first bloom under my care. The flowers looked quite different. Had it not been for its position and that familiar sweet scent, I wouldn't have recognized it.

I planted it with no shade cloth and where it gets direct sunlight from 8AM all the way to 4PM.

Congrats. There is definitely a marked improvement in both form and colour.

Orchids, especially light loving vandas, really respond well to increased brightness when they have been neglected. Nice growing!!

    Cheers,

Actually I like the "Before" colors better. The lip though has more intense colors after.
I agree that the flower form is definitely improved afterwards.

Wish you could capture the fragrance to share with us, too! A really lovely flower that has responded so well to your care!
