The nightly rains has been really a big welcome for my plants.... my Den.
crumenatum is in bloom again.
That is cute.
A nice photo Delphiguy
Thanks glad you like it.
i have one of these as well. its crazy how rain and a slight drop in temperature induces blooming. the friend who gifted it to me said its smelled like ivory soap. but i find it very pungeant. reminiscent of ammonia. how does it smell to you?
Im not good at describing fragrances.... but thats the first thing I always notice when this
is in bloom.
What a crisp looking flower. Mine look slightly different Randy, with longer somewhat less rigid petals and the one that is more often posted on the net. I'm not sure if there's a subspecies. Or maybe just the difference in growing conditions.
But I like yours better, looks truer to its name pigeon orchid.
Thanks Angel glad you liked it.
Good for you it rains nightly over at your place. Here in Quezon City/Manila it's still dry but the heat has lessened a bit.
Better watch out for rot when your plants get wet at night due to rains specially if there is no breeze to dry the plants out.
Wow...I found some Filipino here..Great...To Delphiguy, Manilabynight and Agenl.. I hope you can help me with my watering confusing. I really want to ask you because we have the same temperature condition.
I am confuse with Vanda watering, I water them twice a day(morning and afternoon) But I see some roots are dying and turning brown. Could this be over watering? I hang my Vanda outside without any medium attached with very bright filtered sunlight. I hope you could help me because I'm new to orchids.
