    Hm, that is very interesting to note. The Gatton Sunray I was comparing to actually fits your description of the Den. pulchellum much better.

    What bothers me is that I am sure about the tag on this one and it was shown by a quite reputable grower in the area. The flower on their website matches this one and is also labeled as Gatton Sunray.

    Michael I agree with Truong. It is definitely not Gatton Sunray. I believe I emailed you a pic of Gatton Sunray var Excelsior some time ago. Moreover Gatton Sunray has no scent; is quite short-lived about 7-10 days; and is not a seasonal bloomer, flowering several times a year on the matured, leafless canes. ( I t does occasionally bloom on the canes with leaves).
