Default Dendrobium with distinct maroon-burgundy markings

A nice cream colored dendrobium with distinct maroon-burgundy markings in the lip which faithfully blooms every year at this time. No scent, but lasts quite a while. Know the exact name?

    Cheers, Michael

I think it's Dendrobium Gatton Sunray "Excelsior", but am not sure. Can someone confirm?

I was going to say Gatton Sunray too at first, but I'm not sure the shape of the bloom is quite right. I remember them being rounder, less star-shaped.

    Any other opinions out there?

Ok, just looked at an old pic again and I take back my doubts on shape. Definitely looks like a Gatton Sunray to me. I've been ogling that one for years now. :-)

Check out the picture I posted from a show here:

No, it's not Gaton Sunray, it's Den pulchellum, a natured species Dendrobium.

Love the contrast of the maroon-burgundy spots on this one.

How can one tell the difference between Dendrobium Gatton Sunray and den. pulchellum?
They look identical to me. Thanks!
