@Roy: I don't doubt that the parents have been registered correctly because I have seen a few coerulea in Thailand that do not have any tesselations at all, a trait which I consider as being ugly. It is the tesselations, after all, that makes the coerulea so attractive. I believe that the Karen Ono could have as a parent a coerulea without tesselations.

    V. coerulea without tesselations ????? Never seen one and if I had I would be questioning it. Makes me wonder exactly what is going on in Thailand.

Such vibrant colors Yew. Very healthy foliage too.
Randy's right. The Taweesuksa x Pimsai does have the sanderiana imprint. And the sanderiana is very dear to a Filipino's heart.

@Angel: And that is as it should be. Sanderiana is not called the "Queen of Vandas" for nothing! isn't it known as waling-waling in Tagalog?

Yes, Yew. Waling-waling it is in our native dialect. It is dear especially to me who lives on Mindanao island since the waling-waling is endemic to Mindanao.

Have you seen my earlier post in this forum "A Cascade of Dendrobium Anosmum"? That was taken on my grandpa's home near the foothills of Mt. Apo, our highest mountain. In the local forests thrives the waling-waling.
