    Default ID if possible

I inherited this plant from a friend who passed away a couple of years ago, and I have gone through a species photo site but have not found it. Any help would be great as it has been in flower for the last three months.

Some kind of Vanda, I suppose, but I know nothing about a "name" for your orchid. It is for sure BEAUTIFUL,though. Betty :-)

This looks like a crossing using Trudelia (vanda) cristata with something like V. tessellata

Agree with Roy and Ron. That prominent lip would suggest acristata with a tessellata or a tricolor, or even a deninsoniana ( as evidenced by the protruding lip and short flower spike).

    I have no doubt,it is a Vandopsis(Lindley).Perhaps an hybride,there are 10 different species.
A beautiful plant, and if You have the wright T° and humidity,it will be a fantastic grower.
The weather conditions in Belgium ar very bad for all kinds of Vandas.

    Greetings,

    Yves

I'd have to disagree strongly here, the lip for one thing is Trudelia, the flower and plant suggests Vanda or Ascocenda.

For sure it has V. cristata in the blood. I don't think it is a primary hybrid though. Perhaps, one of the parents is Vanda Paki.
It is a pretty one and it is worth the time to do further reasearch for its ID.
