    Default Pot. Little Fortune #15

This is another from my recent box of goodies, Pot. Little Fortune '#15'. It has a lovely lip, I think. I gave one to a friend last night and noticed as I was giving it to her that one of the newly opened blossom's lips was split and each half was curling toward the sepals. I wish I had taken a picture. It didn't look like an injury/mechanical damage. Do they sometimes have deformities like that?

Usually when my flowers petals are split it's my fault. They will be stuck and i'll be helping the bud open (lack of humidity will do this time to time) and i'll rip the petal. Your flower is very sunny...and I like the little touch of color on the lip. You got some nice ones!

So cute!! And yes, sometimes deformities (natural or like Connie suggested) happen. The next blooming should be better. If not, get your friend to snap a photo and let everyone take a look.

    Cheers,

    Default Peloric bloom?

Hi Kassie, I have this plant too and one of it's blooms has two lips! I don't have a decent camera right now, so this pic isn't very clear. You can see the two spashes of darker color that are in the center of each lip.

Oooops, terrible image. This camera is supposed to have a macro setting but I must be doing something wrong. The pic didn't look this blurred on my camera's viewer. As you can see, a photographer I'm NOT!
