    Default Den ochreatum

Acquired this plant mid January with a small new growth. It has grown really quickly (new cane is about 12" high) & i didn,t expect it to flower .

1 of it,s common names is Dead Mans Fingers & the old canes really do look
like skeletal fingers.Have not detected any scent yet but flowers have only been open 1 day.

Very cool! I love the orange coloration. I am becoming a very big fan of the dendrobiums...

I do like it. Those are very waxy looking for a Dendro.

Shall put it on the list.

That is awesome. I love the yellow intensity and the growth habit is really peculiar. I'll have to look into this more, thanks for the great photo. I haven't had much luck reblooming my dens yet, maybe not enough light with my east exposure, but I love the foliage (yet again) so I keep buying them. I think I have 6 now, I'm sure soon to be more if I find something tantalizing at the AOS biannual show and sale this weekend!
