    Thumbs up China orchid

    Dear,

comes close to Dendrobium Longicornus(corni)but is somewhat different.
On site www.univers-orchideee.org you may find more info under D of dendrobium or C of callista(old name for dendrobium). It is a french/english site.
Flower is very similar to longicornus but not the leaves.

    Kind regards,

Now that some of the Dendrobiums have been taken out into other genera ( Dockrillia for example) there are "only" eight or nine hundred species left in the genus, so anyone can be excused for not being able to put a name to a plant. And when it is said "from China" , that often means not really in commerce in the sense of being able to buy one even after a lot of shopping around. (The big exception to this generalisation about China is of course Paphs . A lot of the "new paph species" have been entirely collected out, because of the very high prices people will pay even for illegal paph plants which would be confiscated if the CITES police were ever tipped off to their existence".
Whatever, this Dendrobe is a nice one - but not easy to grow I would think, looking at the leaves.
