This is a discussion on Brassolaelia Yellow Bird within the Cattleyas, Vandas, Dendrobiums IN BLOOM forums, part of the Orchid Photography category; First of all, I think you got the mindset that I am a kid in ...
First of all, I think you got the mindset that I am a kid in school. I am already a father of 3 who decided to give up a job to pursue my studies. Yes, not that it matters.
Secondly, I do like to share pics, and what do i hope to get in return, knowledge. My intentions are to share and hopefully create a talking point where I get to learn, it is never to stake claims. What do I get in return for staking claims, cheap thrill?
Thirdly, i am not sure if you understand but juggling studies, family and plants might not leave me with a lot of time. The "good growing", "nice clones", all that you mention does not matter to me. They are just niceties. If my intentions are to stake claims, I would just grab photos off the web and claim that its mine.
Then, when I give credits to the plant? Who do i give to? The nursery who bought the plant from another nursery who took the plants from god-knows-where?
Ah, so this is a place where experts congregate and people with little growing experience is not welcome? Or maybe they should actually keep their mouth shut so that the experts can go forth with their discussions? I might be a person without much growing experience, but at least I flowered half of my bulbophyllum collection without killing the plant, that means that I must have done something right.
Then again, if you would have just tried asking me for growing advise (which I do not think an expert like you mind anyway), I would have given you a description on the place the plant is grown; the sun, the watering, the ferts etc, which is what I will normally do on all other forums. If I do not know, I'll sure pop over to the nursery to ask.
Seriously, the thing about deleting my thread is written out of spite, i must apologise. Deleting threads in forums might not be that difficult after all, if you just know how.
This is getting way too much, I cannot imagine I actually take time out of preparing dinner to answer your insults, at least it is to me. I still stand by my intentions, go ahead and think what you like.
Finally, throwing names like "kiddo" and "thick-skinned" in forums is not so pretty either.
You are such a piece of work, Vincent! Whom are you trying to fool with all those BS? You gave nobody credit but you and that is your intention. How you acted here definiately has proved you are thin-skinned. Go grow up with your own kids and hopefully you learn some honesty when you grow up!
This forum welcomes all orchid hobbyists, and don't call me expert.
