I would like to know how and when to repot this Catteya and what size pot to use. Should I just put it in a rounder pot so it doesn't fall over.

Hi BHawk, here is an article on repotting a cattleya orchid. How to Repot a Cattleya

There are also other articles on repotting cattleyas in the Orchid Article Library here in OrchidTalk.

I recommend dividing this orchid to clean it up, but if you just want to repot, still follow the advice and skip the part on creating divisions. Good luck and please post if you need clarification on any step from the article.

I am with Bruce; I would read the articles and repot your big cattleya. If you don't want a bunch of smaller pieces, simply splitting it into two pieces will still stimulate your plant to grow new roots and bloom better. You have one healthy looking cattleya there!
