Not, IMHO the nicest of the Goldenzelles - if you can look at the 100+ images on Orchidwiz you will see that it is an amazingly variable cross - everything from palest yellow, through dark yellow, apricot, salmon pink, orange, ordinary cattleya pink, and red - with of course variation in the lip, and the throat. I reckon the picture I saw before I bought my clone, was of it when it first opened, when it is golden, but the gold fades and the pink flush comes up within say 10 days, and its not my favourite then. Big flowers, 6-7 inch, and a good constitution - so I tell myself, that I can''t have everything.
Rlc Goldenzelle is a varied one, Geoff. I know what you mean about all the different colors. Looks like you used this one in one of your basket displays!
