The colour of houilletianum is so different from any Aerides I have flowered ; I have this species in my collection, but not flowered yet ; I shall go and give it a good talking-to in the morning, see if I can persuade it to deliver.

Hi Geoff, it is quite different, I have it in a cross, 3 parts houll' & 1 part lawrenciae, its a giant houlletianum and near the same color. Some plants of houllet' are actually falcata. Noteably creamy white to pink in color, other features very close to houllet'. Light is the main thing to flowering, lots of without burning. I'm giving mine a stern talking to so they multi spike.

Very interesting, the odorata flowering I can understand but lawrenciae is a Winter flowerer. Shouldn't be out now. Mine has spikes just appearing.
