This dendrobium orchid has the smalest blooms of any dendrobium we grow. They measure maybe an half-inch in height and at the most 3/4 in in width (and that would be the largest of the bunch). Most are about the size of my big thumb nail.
Dendrobium Jim Beck
this orchid has a wonderfully color pattern in its lip and a frosting of the same colors over the white bloom.
It typically blooms down inside the plant, but some of these spikes stick up out of the mass of the plant. I am hoping for a keiki on this one since after being attacked by scale, it has never fully recovered its vigor.
great lil flower
That is a very nice dendrob. Like the color and the detail on the labellum. Thanks for sharing BD.
That's really nice Bruce. I was so enamored with the tiny orchid blooms that I saw this past weekend. Most of the ones that I loved would have needed a greenhouse and I don't think I could grow them.
Now that im looking at this more..... is this a Den. kingianum x speciosum hybrid??
Very fine flowers Bruce. Do you raise quite a few Dendrobiums? If so what kind do you raise? Any that go dormant in winter?
Nice! Hope you get your keiki!
