Love the color.
Thanks,Bill....It's a "different" red ......
Looks great, John! Beautiful, healthy orchid plant.
Awesome colours and such a cool pot !
Beautiful colour. We used to refer to this colour as 'watermelon' red.
A Diet Zero bottle, I use many of them, until the plants get bigger ......(Saves me $1.25 a plant) ......They work well for SH, except they are prone to tipping....Hence the wire hangers ......
My plantof this is in flower too. I always find it interesting when the same grex/cv is in flower for me and somewhere else in the world thousands of miles away ,sometimes in a completely different latitude as well as longitude - the most extreme example I can think of was when I showed a pic of my Cyrtorchis arcuata in flower , and ( in another forum) someone in South Australia - almost as far away from here as it possible to get , had his plant in flower too - and its not a plant which flowers that often anyway.
Echoing others, that is a beautiful color. The plant looks very happy in the S/H, too.
John, can I ask one mor two questions about your S/H technique - you obviously have it exactly spot on here !
Do you dry off at any stage , or always keep a certain water level in the jars ?
At what point did you put the plant into S/H ? i/e/ did you wait for new roots, or just put it in whatever ?
Do you simply top up with plain water, or empty, and refill with adjusted nutrient/water mix every time ?
S/H is a technique I once used with many genera, byt currently mainly Oncids , and I have hesitated about putting Catts into it.
