    Default Christieara Michael Tibbs

The cross is Ascocenda Peggy Foo x Aerides lawrenceana. I always buy Peggy Foo crosses when I see them - I like the smooth even colours without chequering or veining , as a change from many other Ascdas, etc.
Michael Tibbs is or was a South African acquaintance/friend when he was in the orchid trade in UK - he once gave me instructions for finding Disa uniflora on Table Mountain at Cape Town, South Africa, which almost resulted in me walking off the edge of the table ( the flattish top of the mountain ) and making a record descent to the bottom ,but that's another story .
As to the orchid, well it looks like Peggy Foo in many respects, but rather smaller flowers, with the Aerides spur added - maybe the flower count will be higher , I think I can count something like 30 flowers and buds.
I'll do some piccys as and when I get my PC back.

What beautiful color this orchid has. I hope you will post an update to this thread when the rest of those buds open. Looks like it is going to be quite the show!

    Cheers,
    BD
